My substack will cover a wide variety of subjects, some of which I’ve written books about and will provide “updates,” others which I feel urgency to bring to readers’ attention. Over the course of my writing career, I’ve written “Eye of the Whale” (named a Best Book of 2001 by three major newspapers). “Striper Wars: An American Fish Story” and “Horsemen of the Apocalypse/Climate in Crisis” about natural history and the environment. I’m also the authorized biographer of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and depth psychologist James Hillman (3 volumes). And I’ve published a memoir, “My Mysterious Son: A Life-Changing Passage Between Schizophrenia and Shamanism.” Additionally, I’ve had four New York Times best-sellers co-authored with former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura and am currently writing my fourth book on President Kennedy’s assassination. All of these are subjects close to my heart, and I hope many of yours as well. I’ve laid out my purpose for this substack in the first post today, which will be archived. I’ll be aiming at publishing at least twice a week. Down the line I may be asking for paid subscribers, but at the moment I’m just hoping to interact with as many readers with common concerns as possible. I look forward to our dialogues.
